Bam, from Jackass... radio commentary.
You guys should learn 2 things from that clip of Bam:
#1. Zach and Steve: you're just a cover band playing in bars, lose the egos.
#2. I told you guys that the name had to go. Its very immature for a bunch of 35-40 yr
old men to go around with the name Lima Bean Riot.
By the way, your banner looks REALLY CHEE ZEEE hahaha hah ahah ah aha

As a follow up to my letter below:
I finally
got the knife out of my back. Financially,
I’m actually doing a lot better not being in the band. After playing every weekend and traveling to Ocean City MD,
Virginia, New Jersey, and every where else, we made a whopping $13,000.00 each in 2007. That’s before expenses. Do the math. That is as good as it got with Frank Kielb. Just goes to show what
kind of power he really has.
After retrieving the articles of incorporation,
I now know Frank has been lying to
me and the rest of the band. What we were told and how the corporation is set up
are two different things. Frank owns Lima Bean Riot. The guys in the band are just
sub-contractors. I hired you Frank “REMEMBER”? “Strength and Honor” huh Just like
when you said our original cd would get where it needed to be. You told us you had
so much power in the original industry. Well, we played 1 original gig in 3 years
on a Tuesday night for nothing and no one. The truth is you have no power and no
clout. Mike Bass was right. How many
bands left you in the last 10 yrs? How many friends have you lost?
I know who you
really are at the core now. Where’s
the bands posters and DVD you promised? Who are you going to sue this week?
And
how’s that nice office, kitchen and bathroom I did for you working out? Maybe I
should send you an invoice for the extras I did for you as a FRIEND.
December 2nd, 2007 Frank called and told me
I was voted out of my band unamimously and no body wanted to have a meeting. Well after
talking to Matt, Ben and Marc that doesn’t seem to be the case. Ben said it was
wrong and didn’t want it. Matt said he pleaded with the band not to do it and Marc
said he didn’t know about it until after the fact. Zach and Steve said they were
willing to quit if I wasn’t removed. So how much does the band really mean to them.
Wow you two are true rock stars let me tell you. Steve, who are you leeching off
this week? Keep hiding under your hat and heavy metal t-shirts you little weasel.
Don’t forget I am the reason that you are in the band. Zach you took the band real
far. Wow right to the restaurants and the hallways of the casinos for minimum wage.
Who’s band are you trying out for this week? Hey Dan where’s the money you owe me.
Let me guess I know… I fall into the category of all the other people you owe money
to. Screwed Again! Try going to work and getting a job that pays. Face it, LBR is
chump change.
Its funny when people go to your site they
don’t see me but they still hear the music that I wrote. Take the music that I wrote
off your site. You continue to sell the CD. Where’s my cut. I never gave permission
to play or sell my music on the website or at your shows.
Wouldn’t that be a lawsuit
Frank?
January 2008
I'd like to wish
my ex band members a Merry Christmas and tell everyone what went down with the band.
Two weeks ago I got a call from Frank Kielb
(our manager) telling me that I was voted out of my band. I was shocked. All I asked
for was a meeting to discuss why and a reason.
Our manager couldn’t make it happen. People keep asking me what kind of a
manager is he to let this happen. I was the band leader. I supplied the practice
space, I was the guy who fixed things. I was the guy who bought band gear on my
own time and with my own money so we could have the things we needed to sound good.
I did just about everything for the band. Frank incorporated the band but didn’t
protect the people that made the band.
This is the band
I created with Matt DeCarlo, one of my so called good friends. Matt and I played
for almost 20 years together. I did a lot of things for Matt and his family throughout
the years. We played "Battle of the Bands" together in high school, and won. From
there we formed a band called "Cross Town Traffic". We were the guys who hired and
fired people.
Matt, I know you
just want to play your drums, but there comes a time when you need to say to yourself
that family and friends are more important than hitting your drums. Someday you
will look back and understand.
Four years into
Lima Bean Riot we hired Zach Brown (singer). Zach was a total amateur in the beginning,
but we stuck by him and made him into the singer that he is today. Now he votes
me out. Zach, you're really not all you think you are.
Dan was hired
then quit and begged for a few years to come back into the band. We took Dan back
a few years ago.
Marc, the newest
addition to the band, was hired 1 year ago. When Marc tried out for the band Zach
and Steve were leery of hiring him because of his age and look. Matt and I knew
he was the guy for the job and he was hired. Marc, maybe some day you can talk to
me, man to man, and tell me how I did you wrong.
Ben was one of
the original members of this band. As far as I see Ben wanted to do the right thing
and have a meeting to try to work things out. Here is a quote from Ben in a letter
he wrote to the band.
In light of
all the facts, both positive and negative I feel that a band meeting with John included
is fair and necessary. At the very least, if the band decision is to remove
John from the band, he should be given a fair severance package to reflect his involvement
and dedication for better or for worse over the last 10 years. It would be
very shitty to force someone out of the band 3 weeks before Christmas with no warning
or pay.
I’d like to thank
Ben for trying. Ben is the only one left in the band with brains.
Which brings me
to Steve Duban. This guy is a total weasel and a liar. We hired Steve a few years
back. Things were going good for a while. Then Steve quit out of the blue with no
warning or anything. He started a band which was complete failure. I kept in contact
with Steve and I was the one who took him back and gave him a second chance with
our band. Now he votes me out. Steve is the mastermind behind this whole thing.
Well, it’s the
end now. Did you guys really think I was going to sit back and do nothing?
This was a band I spent almost half my life on.
All I asked for was a meeting. My intentions were to apologize for whatever
it was that I did and to have some kind of closure or work things out.
Zach, Marc and
Steve wouldn’t even give me that. You guys overlooked one thing: I own the domain
name "LimaBeanRiot.com". You stole
my band from me now I'm retaining my domain name. You took me off the website, but
still sell and play the cd that I wrote a lot of.
Steve, all you
did was cop Rev's leads and called them your own. I hope now that you’re a six piece
band, the club owners dock your pay and see what kind of people they are hiring.
You don’t deserve to split my share.
Stay tuned for
more info...
